Questing Beast

Three Bens were pivotal to my return to RPGs over lockdown. One was a member of my group who encouraged everyone to join in and put on silly voices; another was Ben Laurence, who provided the setting and a lot of the most innovative rules and style ideas; the third was Ben Milton, AKA Questing Beast, without whom I would simply not be aware of Ultan's Door, The Black Hack or the wealth of other material available via the indie and OSR tabletop scene.

Here he is pointing out the poverty of Hasbro's offerings, a frequent refrain, and he's not wrong; in a game where you can do anything you can imagine, it's simply better to have an adventure where there's more than one way to solve a problem and encounters encourage creativity and diverse outcomes.
